Survival guide for Debian

NemID, E-boks or Home Banking does not work due to Java issues

NemID decide to use Java for logon procedure. It is important for home banking, e-box, health records, tax information, Danish gaming portals and much more.

NemID supports only SUN java, no derivatives

At the same Debian decides to remove the SUN Java from the distribution

And Oracle offers a very complicated installation procedure that makes Windows 3.11 to see modern addition

Sometimes you have to be very dedicated to use anything other than Windows. sigh

How a security provider can choose a tool that has been affected by security issues for many years is a question not able to answer

Testet at Debian 6.0.4

Problem:

  • NemID does not work (NemID virker ikke på Debian)
  • E-boks does not work (E-boks virker ikke på Debian)
  • Home Banking does not work (Netbank virker ikke på Debian)

Solution:
